Guidelines for the Submission of Manuscripts to the RJUAM
The general publication and editing guidelines of the RJUAM can be downloaded here: Normas de estilo RJUAM (ESP).
Additionally, a template with the applied styles and rules can be downloaded from the following link: Template.
Place and Method of Submission
Anyone wishing to submit a text for publication in the RJUAM (papers, lectures, case comments, reviews, case law and conference reports) must address the Editorial Board. Submissions must be original and unpublished, although the Editorial Board may consider the possibility of accepting previously published works, in cases where they are translations or when dissemination in Spain is of special interest. Submissions are preferably made through the UAM Journals Portal, which requires a quick and simple registration, and streamlines and facilitates the evaluation process required for publication. However, they can also be sent via the RJUAM email address.
Submission of a manuscript implies awareness and acceptance of the following instructions: the author agrees to submit an original manuscript, which cannot be simultaneously submitted to other journals during the evaluation process. The author must declare the copyright status of the work, and assumes full responsibility in the event of copyright infringement.
Evaluation of Submitted Works
All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process involving a member of the Editorial Board and an external reviewer. If no member of the Editorial Board were available, two external reviewers would be designated. Evaluation criteria include: originality, the depth of research, and the relevance and interest of the topic. The review process will result in the acceptance or rejection of the work, and the outcome will be communicated to the author approximately one month before the publication of the corresponding issue.
Additionally, all accepted works will undergo rigorous copy-editing and proofreading to ensure formal quality and methodological consistency across the journal.
The editors are committed to actively preventing unethical practices, such as plagiarism or improper attribution of authorship. If a reviewer detects such misconduct, it will be included in their report and brought to the attention of the Editorial Board, which will reject the work.
Length
Submissions should not exceed thirty pages (DIN A4), except for reviews, which should be no longer than four pages. Exceptionally, the Editorial Board may authorize the publication of longer works.
Language of Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted in Spanish or English. Exceptionally, the Editorial Board may authorize publication in other languages.
